    The wrong mindset…

For generations, there is a wrong mindset about these fuels. There are rumors all around that if these will go extinct the whole civilization will become extinct. And up to some extent these lines are true but not completely. So are these fossil fuels base of our lives? What if they will go extinct? Will the civilization collapse after using these fuels completely? What will be our future if there will be no fuel left? So to answer these questions, guys let’s start….!

    What are fossil fuels?

    Meaning of fossil fuels

FOSSIL                                          +                                         FUELS                 = FOSSIL FUELS (noun)

(remains of plants and animals)            (material which produces energy when burnt)

    Plural- Fossil fuels

    Synonym-    Non-renewable energy

                          Exhaustible energy sources

    Fossil fuels definition

Those fuels which were formed by the decomposition of living matter (plants and animals), under heat and pressure, which produce energy when put under combustion are called fossil fuels. Example:- coal, natural gas, crude oil.

    How are fossil fuels formed?

Fossil fuels were formed by the decomposition of living matter by microbes under heat and pressure. Fossil fuels are the form of carbon.

    Elaborating…

Guys, as you know that life has been present on this earth from billions of years. So the plants and animals which died millions of years ago, and were buried under the layers of soil, by the action of wind and other factors got decayed by the microbes under the heat of earth and pressure of soil get converted into coal and the animals got converted into natural gas and crude oil.

    Are fossil fuels renewable?

Listen, fossil fuels contain carbon and carbon is non-renewable and so are fossil fuels. Actually, the dead remains of plants and animals do not burn, but the carbon which is present inside them does. And these fuels burn only in the presence of carbon, once it is over they also get extinguished. And carbon does not have supernatural powers that it will regenerate itself after burning so fossil fuels cannot be replenished and they are non-renewable.

    Examples of fossil fuels

So guys I have got you 12 examples of fossil fuels:-

    1.      1. Coal                                                                                     7. Natural gas

    2.      2. Crude oil                                                                             8. Bitumens

    3.      3. Tar sands                                                                            9. Heavy oils

    4.     4.  Oil shales                                                                           10. Kerosene

    5.      5. Turf                                                                                    11. Gasoline

    6.      6. Propane                                                                              12. Charcoal

How do fossil fuels harm the environment?

Fossil fuels harm the environment in a variety of ways. And some are listed below

    ·        Water pollution:-

    1.      ACIDIFYING OF LAKES- the chemicals released by the burning of fossil fuels get mixed with rain and come back to the earth’s surface adding harmful acids and chemicals to water bodies.

    2.      ACID RAIN- the harmful gases released by the combustion of fossil fuels get mixed with rainwater and make acids which then come back to earth destroying forests and sculptures.

    3.      SOIL EROSION- the acid rain destroys forests so there are no trees left to hold the soil which gives wind and water the chance to erode the soil.

    ·        Air pollution:-

    1.      POISONING AIR-the harmful gases released during combustion of these fuels results in poisoning of air which in turn harms all the living beings.

    ·        Greenhouse effect:-

The gases like carbon dioxide which are released during the combustion of fuels are the main reason for the greenhouse effect. These gases trap the sun’s heat in the earth’s atmosphere resulting in an increase in temperature.

    ·        Melting of glaciers:-

The greenhouse effect is increasing the temperature of the earth which is continuously melting down the ice present in Antarctica. And this will lead to an increase in water levels up to 200feet which is enough for water to submerge most of the important cities of India as well as the world.

When will fossil fuels run out?

To this topic, there are many reports published but the most relevant one describes ‘ that if we will continue the use of fossil fuels at the current speed these will only last up to 2060’. After that these will completely disappear from the earth. And to much extent, this report is true as there is 4m mt. the decline of groundwater in many parts of India in the past 20 years.

Are fossil fuels base of life?

Guys this question is very hard to answer. But yes, fossil fuels were our base of life and are continued till today as the base of life for us. Solar energy and wind energy experienced a boom in the last decade but it is not enough to tackle the use of fossil fuels. We cannot directly shift from fossil fuels to clean sources of energy but we are trying. And till 2050 there will be no use of coal, petrol and natural gas as everything will be completely clean. And don’t you see, today also the electric cars are trending!

What if fossil fuels run out?

According to the relevant report, fossil fuels will run out after 35-40 years. But these are enough years to be prepared for that energy crisis. As we have developed electric cars and electric airplanes whose batteries are charged by solar panels so there is no need of worrying about fuels. If they will run out completely then also this developing world has the potential to find alternate ways to take down the problem caused by the complete depletion of fossil fuels. So keep chilling! But don’t be careless.

    Should we preserve fossil fuels?

A normal person will simply say yes but the extraordinary have a different way of thinking. They will say that use fuels to fulfill your energy demands but don’t waste if they will run out then also there is no problem because fuels are not the greatest resource but the human being is!

True learning of human as resource

Listen, guys, human is the greatest resources ever, if human beings are not present on this earth then who will use the resources. HUMAN BEINGS ARE THE RESOURCES THAT USE, DISCOVER, EXPLOIT RESOURCES, AND THEN AGAIN GO IN SEARCH OF NEW ONES. There is nothing permanent on this earth and so are fossil fuels. The necessity is the mother of invention, so if fossil fuels will run out we have the full potential to discover new and clean sources of energy which will be further beneficial to us. But if we will stick to the older resources conserving them then all the ways of discovering the new ones will automatically be closed. I am not saying that overuse them, but use them to fulfill your energy demands without underestimating your needs. So don’t worry, this is the human race, the most intelligent race on this earth ever born.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading and you get a new point of view to see resources as well as got some information.

    Anti-gravity is possible!

Anti-Gravity is possible! Meaning, possibility, and new technology Anti-gravity is a topic that had attracted the attention of scientists worldwide. Today defying gravity is the burning topic and scientists from all over the world are experimenting and trying to overcome this hurdle. You can understand its complexity that even NASA had not yet discovered something that can challenge gravity. But I am back again with this kind of stuff to make you step ahead. Let’s start... antigravity meaning Table Of Contents noun : anti-gravity a hypothetical force opposing gravity.              This means it is a force that is opposing gravity  What is anti-gravity? What do you think is anti-gravity? Is it defying the gravity of the earth? Yes, it is. Anti-gravity simply means to prove newtons law of gravitation wrong! It means that if we apply antigravity to an object then it should behave like an object in space. How simple it is, isn’t it? Is Anti-gravity possible? Yes, i

Gymnosperms- Meaning, Definition, Example For All.

GYMNOSPERMS Evolution:- Table Of Contents Gymnosperms were the first plants to evolve on earth. The earliest seed-like bodies were found in rocks of the upper Devonian series (about 382.7 million years to 358.9 million years ago). First, all seed plants were Heterosporus meaning two kinds of spores (microspores and megaspores) produced by sporophytes.    Fossil ovules discovered in Scotland suggest that integuments originated during the Mississippian subdivision of the Carboniferous period   (about 358.9 million to 323.2 million years ago). The ovules of  Genomosperma kidstonii,  for example, consisted of an elongated megasporangium with one functional megaspore and featured eight elongated fingerlike processes that loosely surrounded the megasporangium. In a related species,  G. latent , those eight fingerlike processes were fused at the base into a cup and covered the megasporangium rather closely.
